BREIF: An exercise in critical analysis of practical techniques from the iconic filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock. This session will be supported by discussion, to learn and understand the key concepts and techniques used by The Master of Suspense. This will be done by individual presentations (prepared by TRENCH Film Members) followed by a group viewing of To Catch a Thief and/or Rebecca followed by further discussion of Hitchcockian techniques used open to the audience. One key technique will then be exercised in next week’s Hitchcock Practice Lab.
‘The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder’
